Elliot Goblet is a bit of an in joke amongst my friends. Out one night and we spotted him and yelled out his name. He ignored us, not surpisingly. We kept going until he acknowledged us. It’s what happened afterwards, not related to him at all that makes the story between us funny. Not for sharing though.

Carl Barron is a funny guy and the type of comedian that doesn’t need to always be jumping around the stage in his routines. Just stands there and lets the words, and in some cases, noises and actions, flow.

One of the original comedy records in Australia to go mainstream. Hilarious to Australians and just boring to anyone else. I bought the 12″ single of it is bloody funny. Doesn’t seem to be available online for download though.

I remember watching The Big Gig on ABC late on a Friday night. Was a bit of a cult show as the ABC has a habit of creating. It was a great format for live comedians to get some television coverage. In addition to George Smilovici there was Rodney Rude, Austen Tayshus, Wendy Harmer and many others.
