Grind – Nothin’ But A Good Time

Another from the files of actors lip synching to songs. Added benefit with this one is it’s a great song from the 80s/90s hair band Poison. Of course the film will never win any awards, however, it was a good lightweight flick with a decent soundtrack and decent actors. The Sweet Lou character is straight out of Dazed and Confused and the character played by Matthew McConaughey.

Chasing Amy – Bitch Pressing Charges

Chasing Amy was the first Kevin Smith flick that I watched and I loved it. One of those movies I have watched more times than I can remember. A small budget film and when you look closely at it, not a lot of big scenes, cameras panning and other stuff. The commentary on the DVD is a laugh and filled with great information.

Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back

Big warning with this one. If you don’t like the four letter world starting with F then don’t listen. If you know Jay and Silent Bob then you would probably have realised this anyway. Kevin Smith and the View Askew crew make some great flick and I love all of them. Well perhaps Dogma wasn’t the finest, however plenty of other great ones to make up for it. Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy and others.

Ferris Bueller’s Day Off – Bueller, Bueller, anyone

One of the opening scenes from the movie and a classic for any John Hughes fan. I still quote stuff from this move and most recently was about two weeks ago. The classic, Bueller, Bueller, Bueller, Bueller…

Didn’t we all want a bedroom like his and a girlfriend like Kristy Swanson or Mia Sara?

Bronski Beat – Why – Live

Probably not cool to say I like this one, however, I’m comfortable enough with who I am to say it’s a good song. I remember the lead single Jimmy Somerville having a few issues with people in relation to his sexuality. Hopefully in the last 25+ years people have become more tolerant.
