Grease 2 – Cool Rider

Bit of a crap movie compared to the original, however, it does have Michelle Pfeiffer in it, so all is not lost. A pretty early role for her. As I’ve said before, I like it when the characters sing songs (although I’m not a fan of musicals so go figure…) and this one doesn’t disappoint.

Sheryl Crow – Sweet Child O’ Mine

This song was used in the Adam Sandler movie Big Daddy and this clip also appeared in the bonus features on the DVD. Another good cover from Sheryl Crow.

The Wedding Singer – Somebody Kill Me Please

I love it when the stars of films sing songs. Adam Sandler does a great job with this one. I can remember watching this sitting on a plane and laughing my head off. One of those moments when you have to be careful how loud you laugh because no-one else may be watching the same movie.

If you love 80s stuff and particularly the music and you haven’t seen The Wedding Singer then you should definitely hunt out a copy.

The Breakfast Club

One of my all time favourite movies. I remember coming home from one of my exams, calling in to the video store and renting this movie. I didn’t drink back them so movies was my way of relaxing after exams. I watched it the first time, rewound the tape and watched it again. For a film with only 14 people in it, it was amazing. Combined with the fact most of it was filmed in a school and outside in the grounds for a few minutes. John Hughes rocked!

“Things look clear in black and white, The living color tends to dye our sight” are the first two lines as sung by Karla DeVito.
