Far and away the best song Cyndi Lauper every sung, even though Girls Just Want To Have Fun is a close second. Another example of an artist who I really only like the more upbeat songs.
I like this song because of one line towards the end. “So I sat back down and had a beer and beer and felt sorry for myself.” I think a lot of us can relate to that line.
Another version of one of Springsteen’s best and this time done as an acoustic version. It’s a pity this clip doesn’t include the introduction that is seen on the DVD version where he explains a bit about the song.
